WHILE YOU WERE OUT!!!!

For all of you that have seen the the show ; While you were out know what I am talking about. It is a remodeling show....You redo rooms while your spouse is gone. Well mine left Friday at noon and arrived home around 2 pm yesterday.... We (my crew) In picture from left to right. My sister Kel, My mom, sister Ker and I. We were hard working girls. Not to mention the whole weekend all of our spouses were gone and we had 9 children under the age of 8 running around and always begging for something. It was still a success. Our goal was counter top and fireplace and we added a few things that just put it over the top. With out the help of my family I would have never been able to do this. THANKS! to all of you.... I love you!










We started around 8 pm on Friday night. We (Ker and I ) worked until 3:30 am on Sat morning and were back up and putting the sink back in at 7 am Sat. morning after putting the L shaped counter top on. On Sunday we finished the island. A couple of add ons was taking the trim off and sanding it before putting back on adding tiles for the backsplash , tile around the stove, and put on new knobs on my cupboards.


























My Mom and sister Kel worked real hard on the fireplace. They tiled it all on Friday night and grouted it on Saturday afternoon. They did a AWESOME job on the fireplace. This looks like it belongs in a magazine. It is still hard for me to realize that it is in my house.












One last thing we did was strip my table and refinished it. It looks like new.

REMODELING PROJECTS

Sorry that I have been gone for awhile. I have been in the process of fixing the Team T's castle. In the picture below is my kitchen while the tile was still there and in the next picture I have torn it all out. I will be finishing this project this weekend.

The first picture is of the fireplace just put in. My hubby put in the fireplace back in December. We have used it alot. Well I figured since I was doing projects when hubby was gone this weekend that I would finish this one too. I had a family friend come build a mantle for the fireplace which you see in picture 2. Picture 3 shows the detail of this mantle. The builder did a WONDERFUL JOB. I am so happy with it. It is going to look really good when it is finished. I have to stain the mantle and tile the rest of it and it will be completed also this weekend. I have lots to do but the first of next week I will bring you pictures of finished projects.

IMPORTANT DAY IN HISTORY!

My hubby gets to be apart of a very important day in history. Only days away to the burial of our late President Ford. Today my sister in law and her husband were their to take these beautiful pictures. Thanks! What an honor for my husband to be such a big part of history. That will be great stories to tell his 4 little girls.
